Goal, Purpose and Strategic Objectives

Goal

The goal of the Financial Services Workforce Initiative (FSWI) is to expand and develop programs to keep talented people in financial services and the southwestern Pennsylvania region. The FSWI plans to exceed that goal through continued focus on our major initiatives, PRICE and CSSC, as well as explore new initiatives to address the workforce needs, issues, and trends of financial services.

Purpose

  • Provide job information and understanding to potential training program candidates
  • Educate teachers, guidance counselors, parents and student about job opportunities and potential careers
  • Use to develop career ladders within the financial services industry

Strategic Objectives

  • Becoming a region of choice
  • Collaborate to develop programs to attract, develop and retain employees
  • Create collaborative education and training programs
  • Create infrastructure to support financial services cluster
  • Increase and support a diverse workforce
